Recruitment Resourcing Options:
Talent acquisition, or recruitment, is a critical function and a fundamental requirement for every organisation, regardless of its size, industry, or nature of operations.
Ae organisation seeking to recruit talent may adopt either of the following approaches:
- Conduct the recruitment process internally using its own human resources and recruitment personnel; or
- Outsource the recruitment process, in whole or in part, to a professional recruitment agency or recruitment firm.
The approach adopted is a strategic business decision that should be based on the organisation’s operational needs, recruitment objectives, and available resources. Each option presents distinct advantages, limitations, and cost implications. Accordingly, the Recruiting Organisation should carefully evaluate these factors to make informed and commercially sound recruitment decisions
For the purposes of this document, the organisation seeking to recruit talent shall be referred to as the “Recruiting Organisation.”
Where the Recruiting Organisation engages the services of a professional recruitment agency or recruitment firm to manage all or part of the recruitment process on its behalf, the Recruiting Organisation shall also be referred to as the “Client”, while the professional recruitment agency or recruitment firm shall be referred to as the “Recruitment Agency or Consultant.”
Accordingly, the terms “Client” and “Recruiting Organisation” may be used interchangeably throughout this document, depending on the context.
“Hiring Manager” means the head of the business unit, department, or functional area within the Recruiting Organisation (Client) who is responsible for filling the vacancy and who will have direct responsibility for supervising or managing the successful candidate.
The recruiting organisation (client) pays for both the professional expertise of the recruitment agent (consultant) and the direct expenses incurred during the assignment.
